Fighting For A Miracle
In a single split second on the field during a hometown Friday night football game, a family and a community has been turned upside down and is praying for a miracle. A very special young man by the name of Kory Wiita was severely injured in October during the last regular season game. In a third quarter special teams play, Kory fractured three levels of his cervical spine and is currently paralyzed from the chest down and has left a family and a community searching for answers.
This site is in honor of Highland High School Senior Kory Wiita and his family to keep all the many people that care so deeply up to date with news and events surrounding Kory’s condition. Clearly Kory and the entire Wiita family will face many great challenges ahead, yet with the power of your love, thoughts, prayers, and contributions, we believe that together we can make a significant impact in what the future holds for all of them.
If while viewing this site you would like to join us in our fight for a miracle by volunteering, coordinating an event, providing critical services/trades for future needs, or even a simple prayer, it would be greatly appreciated. Any one of these can go a long way in the recovery process and the ever growing needs for long term care. Any and all contributions, no matter the size, will help in the continuing fight for a miracle for Kory. United in the power of numbers, together with your help, we can accomplish anything.
Throughout this challenge, Kory's family continues to trust in God.
